Aviation Gift box of beer
The aviation gift box art on beer label and wooden box feature an aviator who trained to fly with the former Canterbury Aviation Company in Christchurch, New Zealand as service personnel with the British air forces during World War 1. The company was later renamed “Wigram Air base” after Henry Wigram who founded the company in 1917 although it now houses an interesting airforce museum, the airport being non-operational since 1995.
The brewer of these fine bottles of beer, the Wigram Brewing Company, has a close association with the airfield as their brewery is situated adjacent to the airfield periphery.
