This is an entrepreneurial beer! Spruce Beer is based on the original recipe used by Captain Cook when he brewed his own beer concoction from native trees and plants on his visit to Dusky Bay, in New Zealand’s Fiordland, in 1773. It is a 5% alc/vol brewed with no hops and has a clean, astringent quality and slightly honey-like taste and is very good for you being chocka full of antioxidants!
