Red and Green Chili sauces
Kaitaia Fire actually age their crushed chili pepper sauce in barrels like liquor to achieve the concoction’s intense spicey flavours they term Chili Pepper Sauce or Waha Wera sauce which is a mix of manuka honey, kiwifruit and the sauce of Habanero chillies, the genus of which originated in Havana. The 148 mls bottles of chilli sauce is actually better than the original sauce and Waha Wera is a very original New Zealand product which will test the hardiest of hot food addicts, plus it even has a real Kiwiana label!
