Labna Yoghurt Cheese balls in a jar
Labna cheese balls are hand made in New Zealand from organic yoghurt which has been mixed with olive oil and lemon juice before being left to drain off the whey. Herbs are lightly added and the yoghurt cheese hand rolled into little balls ready to be preserved in an olive and sunflower oil marinade. Everything about this product is usable as the marinade can be used later as the base for a salad dressing.
Labna cheese balls are very adaptable for the simplest of salads and pasta meals or dressed up for the fanciest of elaborate entrees and interesting vegetarian meals. They can be used like any other soft cheese – on crackers, in sandwiches, with nachos or antipasto.
