Maori clothing and cultural arts costume
These well made interpretations of traditional Maori costume are much in demand for a wealth of cultural endeavours, concerts and performing arts of the New Zealand Maori people. For young Maori, growing up in other cultures away from New Zealand, the woven clothing of the skirt and the Maori pattern on the pare is a great way to introduce a female child to knowledge of her homeland culture and to encourage the NZ Maori people’s dance and song so much a part of the old myths and legends.
We stock 3 pieces of child’s clothing and poi to suit the first pre-school size in traditional black and red colourings but are able to order other sizes on enquiry. We can also arrange purchases in quantity and in other colour choices.
